We're having a party
on the 4th of July!
So I'm serving up Summer
a little bit country.
It's a mini pallet or crate
with a mini pennant pom banner
to hold your party napkins.
You could make it to suit any occasion
that's a celebration.
And if you have wood scraps like I do,
this is a quick project.
I used fence board scraps.
After the Early American Stain base,
brush on a mix of white and raw sienna.
I put a clear sealer on the stain coat.
I do that mostly to rid of the stain smell faster.
Today I used Pledge Gloss Floor Sealer.
You could use polycrylic or clear glaze
or spray sealer.
Any of those would work.
Put some eye screws in the corners
to hold your party banner.
Tea Stained book pages for pennants.
Tea Stained coffee filters for poms.
You can get 4 mini poms out of one coffee filter
cutting them into about 2" circles.
Gather and scrunch.
Put a dab of hot glue on the back
of the pom's cut edge.
Tie onto jute string banner.
You could put a party banner all the way around
and make it for any type of party.
The Mason jars got the same pennant pom do
and will hold the plastic forks and spoons.
Serving it up country style
goes good with
Summer Barbeque.
Hope you all have a fun week,
Deb
