Abstract Beach Art

I'm dreaming of

being on a beach today.

It's January in Nebraska

and there is beauty in the white on the ground

and frost in the trees,

but I can't wait for warmth and sunshine!

So I'll create art that will

remind me of the places I love to be.

Lake, Ocean,Beach, River, Pool, Spa;

You can create wall art that will reflect those colors.

I started by building a large wood gallery box, 37" x 37".

Base paint brown black mix.

Chalk in lines.

Using many shades of blues and green and white,

drag and scrape paint across surface in many layers.

The colors are happy.

The horizontal stripes are restful.

This piece is for sale in my Etsy Store.

Happy art for your home!

I thought it was beadboard so that is GOOD painting! Love the room, the colors of your painting and your technique.

I love this too! I like the idea of prepping it with the black paint like you did...I wouldn't have thought to do that. It really is a great piece. Thanks for showing us how you did it!
