Black and Brushed Nickel Nightstand

It's always fun

to see how a little paint

and some new hardware

will change the whole personality

of a piece of furniture.

This nightstand was a newish

solid piece of furniture to begin with

but was going in a gray bedroom.

So this black and brushed nickel update

will make it right at home

against a gray wall.

Base painted with a Flat Black enamel

and detailed with a semi-gloss black

and metallic gunmetal gray

you can see subtle scroll and leaves.

From some angles you don't even notice the pattern.

It just depends on how the light hits it.

The new brushed nickel cup pulls

complement the paint palette.

Now it has some personality!
