Hey friends!
I have an easy little
January Art Project
for you.
You know I've used this basic shape
in other art projects.
Just some cedar fence boards with lath connectors.
The boards are 11" long.
The entire piece is painted with a brown wash.
You could stain it too.
Tape off the edges of the front.
Using cardstock, dip in black and raw sienna
and drag across surface.
Remove tape.
Use cardstock
to drag white and camel paint on the edges.
I made a stencil by printing my design on cardstock,
covering with packaging tape on both sides,
and cutting out design.
Be sure to leave connectors within the design.
After brushing in the white,
remove stencil and
use a small flat brush to detail the snowflake.
Paint completely white and add a shade of camel.
Use a black liner brush to clean up any edges.
Hang with D rings and ribbon
or put a hanger on back.
So many options.
Think of your fun color options too.
Love this gray one that my daughter in law painted!
You can even hang your snowflake
on your front door.

Happy painting!
